We will be following the Church's December, 2018 official guidelines and all youth from 14-18 (youth turning 14 in 2023; and if 18 the youth must be graduating high school in 2023) are invited to attend this year's Multi-Stake Youth Conference, a Pioneer Trek. The youth will be pulling handcarts, stopping along the way for food, music, square dancing, and spiritual learning.
The gathering and pickup site for our Youth Conference Trek will be Live Oak Campground on Highway 154 in the Santa Ynez Valley. Look for Pioneer Trek signs. Gathering time will be 7:30 AM for Mas and Pas 8:30 AM for all youth on Thursday, July 6, 2023. Pick-up time on Saturday, July 8, 2023, is 2:30 - 3:00 PM at the lower parking lot of Live Oak.
Directions to Live Oak Campground from the SOUTH:
- Take San Marcos Pass (Highway 154) freeway exit and drive north for 12.6 miles.
- Turn right at the San Marcos Golf Course/Live Oak Campground.
- Immediately turn left and follow the 2 lane road past the golf course for about 1/2 mile through the gate to the campground.
- You will be directed where to go from there.

- From Highway 101 south from Santa Maria, take the Los Olivos Exit to Highway 154. Drive south on Highway 154 for 20.3 miles.
- Turn left at the San Marcos Golf Course/Live Oak Campground.
- Immediately turn left and follow the 2 lane road past the golf course for about 1/2 mile through the gate to the campground.
- You will be directed where to go from there.
